The Honeywell Sportsman Club was formed in November of 1977 by a group of hunting, fishing, and shooting enthusiasts at two divisions of Honeywell, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona.

HSC is the oldest, continuously operating special interest employees recreation group among Phoenix area Honeywell employees. Our activities mainly center around our shooting matches. We hold some sort of a shooting match just about every two weeks. Our members do not specialize in any one particular shooting discipline, as we enjoy shooting rifle, shotgun, and handgun matches. We conduct our events in an informal style, to keep the fun quotient high. We do regard safety, however, as our number one priority at every event.

Should you become a member of the Honeywell Sportsman Club? If you like to shoot and/or hunt, you'll meet other Honeywell folks who share your interests. Besides hunting and shooting, many members also enjoy fishing, camping, canoeing, and ATV'ing. But yes, we are primarily a gun club. Benefits of membership include prize eligibility at our shooting matches, and the right to use any of our club equipment.

How can you decide whether joining HSC is right for you? Hopefully, you can get a good understanding of what HSC is all about just from browsing this website. Or you might take a more hands-on approach to checking out the club by attending one of our shooting matches as a guest. Guests are always welcome at our events.

OK, so you've decided that HSC is right for you. What steps do you need to take to actually become a member? First you will need to fill out two pieces of paper. The first is the Membership Card, and the second is the waiver form. Each of these forms can be printed out from this website, filled out by hand, and submitted to a club officer.

Dues are $15, but when first signing up, or if you allowed your membership to lapse, an additional $5 initiation fee is charged. So you need to get the two forms, plus $20 to a club officer. You'll usually find at least one or two officers at a club shooting match, or you can fill out the contact form on the website expressing your interest.

We have a very full, fun-filled calendar of events for 2024. We hope you'll consider joining us, either as a guest shooter, or as a new member!
